The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

A Free Press, Not a Free Pass – It's Time for Fair Regulation For too long, the UK press have bullied people, harassed grieving families, and destroyed lives, all to sell papers. We’ve all seen the heartbreaking consequences. They’ve hacked phones, listened to ...

Did you watch The Hack? I can't believe papers have gotten away with destroying lives for so long. That's why I've signed the petition, set up by Hugh Grant and other phone hacking victims, to demand fair, independent regulation. Join me: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...

Sad to hear of the death of Brian Patten. He was the youngest of the Liverpool Poets, just 20 when 'The Mersey Sound' was published in 1967. Perhaps his singular poetic voice, youthful, wistful, often sad, would never be so strong again.

One of Wales’ last surviving Red Squirrel colonies is under threat from a proposed “green energy park.” The Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales warns that the Bryn Arau Duon forest (home to unique, self-sustaining Red Squirrels) could be devastated by tree felling and construction.

Seriously. A one-hour Party Political Broadcast. Followed at the top of the next hour with top story billing and a highlights package.

Exactly how will this be "balanced" across their coverage?

Where is Ofcom? Where is Nandy?

Note how we’ve moved from concerns about people arriving irregularly in small boats to wrecking the lives of people who are by definition here entirely lawfully

This is what is now happening to the flags around here. Unsightly and potentially dangerous as they slide down the lampposts, soon to be obscuring road signs. Others are just wrapped around the posts or hanging limply on one zip tie. 'Patriotism' doesn't extend to ongoing maintenance obvs🙄

Another bloody 5Live phone in about asylum seekers in the Channel.
Just wish improvements in the NHS were as easy to quantify as daily arrivals in dinghies and as easy to cover by the BBC and others.
