When I visited Unst in 1992, someone had written in the PO cum café visitors’ book “I knew Unst was an anagram of stun before I came here. I came and have been stunned”

I can’t see the point of propensity score matching here nor how it would work in practice. Is there a paper?

Well. I get exasperated about this. The problem is that many expect statistics to be easy. Some then get annoyed when it isn’t. Mathematics gets a free pass it seems. I am still learning statistics after more than 50 years.

Odds are so hard to understand that only the intellectual elite attending the Kentucky Derby can get anywhere near.

Had so many different files in different directories in different programming languages that were relevant to two papers I was writing that I had to create an index to them. Unfortunately, I can never remember where the index is filed.

Wait, wait. Does this mean that everything in science has to be difficult to understand except statistics?

Sympathy but the life scientists deserve what they get. I have repeatedly told them to make immunology simpler and they just keep on doing the opposite.
