Sometimes it is hard to go with the flow.

The issue is that you are really interested in predicting the “true value”. A classic prediction interval will include the measurement error as part of the uncertainty.
However, since for all sorts of other reasons, your prediction will be poorer than you think, perhaps this concern is “moot”.

This seems an excessively prolix way to shout “bullshit bingo”.
