Managed a few hours editing book 2 (The Trouble with Death) this morning followed by writing 897 words in book 3 WIP - working title Kettle.

Oh I understand it's meant to be a way of making the observation more compelling or persuasive - I 'm just a sad old git who finds it annoying - haha!

I read something yesterday which annoyed me - context - a massive bomb ripped through a building - the author described a survivor as being 'impossibly, still alive'. No you cannot be - you can't describe something as being impossible only to then say that it is...!

Spent the evening with my writers club reading from my current WIP.
They loved the writing, sentences and pace etc. But didn't get the story - why is there a race of warrior women, why would they rescue a drowning king?

Came into effect on 25th July.

I've got a way to do this - UK law change to protect children online now requires SM /adult content sites to verify users age. Bluesky have advised that unless I verify my age I cannot see adult content or access DM's - that's a win win as far as I am concerned
