...Lonely Ship can't have gotten to where it is without having that conversation about why the villain is so bad and what we should do instead. And in seeking to describe a system that I think is cruel, I've unfortunately drawn on reality, since I know it.

I don't enjoy politics, and I think most of my craft reflects that. Laymen is internal and bureaucratic, and Lonely Ship has a lot of fun in the anarchy space. Lyssa never once mentions the political beliefs of the Dark Lord or what would work better.
