Racial and ethnic differences in the association between depressive symptoms and cognitive outcomes in older adults: Findings from KHANDLE and STAR INTRODUCTION Depressive symptoms are associated with higher risk of dementia, but how they impact cognition in diverse populations is unclear. METHODS Asian, Black, Latino, or White participants (.....

Thrilled to share our newest publication on depressive symptoms and cognitive health in a racially diverse sample. We found a particularly harmful association between depressive symptoms and cognition in certain racial/ethnic groups!! #Episky

Sneak peek of ongoing science in the lab. The team just finished collecting data for a project on mentalizing across agents and species. For this we brought a real dog into the lab! So much fun! #fNIRS @utrechtuniversity.bsky.social #human+ #neuroskyence

I’ve worked in many countries and have many stories. For example: In a private meeting, a male supervisor once told me which female scientists I should dress like (dress shirts and trousers were β€˜intimidating’) and encouraged me to bring homemade cakes to work like other women there did. Cakes! 🍰

I think probably the most interesting thing about these results are that they contribute to evidence that parcels are maybe reasonable units of measurement.

Also, do Bayesian hierarchical models, but better.

Groups who contributed to a public good synchronously were seen as have acted more cooperatively.

Thus, synchrony may act as a useful cue for predicting how cooperatively a group has acted or is likely to act. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....
