So...Samantha is selected for abduction, which happens. When she's returned, CSM raises her for a couple years with Twinky Spender, but he also does a bunch of tests and makes a small army of clones. Samantha is miserable and runs away at 14. When they're about to reclaim her, she becomes stardust.

Oh, so Samantha was just turned into stardust by THE WALK-INS so that she wouldn't have to endure more tests by CSM.

I guess.

Imagine JJ Abrams and Chris Carter writing a screenplay together. It would be the most nonsensical script in ze world.

I'm trying to piece together a narrative with everything leading up to it, but it still doesn't explain precisely what happened to kill Actual Samantha when she was fourteen, and I'm not sure I get the rest either.

So...The X-Files called the episode where Mulder gets closure about Samantha "Closure," but it's not really, is it? Everything about her story is kinda loopy and unclear. This is another one of those things where it felt more like they wanted to be done with it than having a story.

this reminds me of the phase with my kids where we couldn't keep tape in the house because they would stretch it across rooms to make spider webs <3

Most of my books have actual plots, but I write to theme like nobody's business. Plots are elaborate constructions to provide a vessel for what I'm saying about some kind of emotional experience and/or opinion. There's a lot to dig into. That's not necessarily desirable to a lot of folks tho

this was harder than i expected. i think my books are good, but it's like, I love my books and I write exactly what I want to read. I don't have anything good to say beyond that because it's subjective. I LIKE THEM. I like them a LOT. That's what I've got.
