I'm weirdly grateful that I'm spared this particular irritant, as I never went to raves so I have no basis for comparison.

From my perspective, a rave was just one in a broad classification of "parties I wasn't invited to attend".

If you claim you were a hippie in the '60s and you spend all your time today railing about how woke young people are ruining the world, I have news for you: you were never a hippie. You were just cosplaying.

The only reason you assassinate every Al Jazeera journalist left in Gaza is because you don’t want anyone to document the genocide you are about to accelerate.

Any politician and any journalist who cannot call this genocide for what it is, is complicit, and I hope history remembers you as such.

I liked it when it first came out, but I tired of it quickly, especially given how ubiquitous it's become in other foods.

BUT...I'm about forty pages into my recreation project of the novel manuscript I accidentally deleted last year.

I have projects to work on that my typical "I had all these plans...and then I sat down" approach aren't going to suffice for, so this is less for mental health than it is an effort to be productive in my own life again, but maybe a lightening of my mental load will be a happy side-effect.

I am planning to take August off from social media.

In the event I get messages, I will respond to them. For those few who look for or are used to my responses and posts, you will see a marked dearth thereof.

Except it's not nuanced. Democrats including Pete are looking for the nearest bus to throw trans people under simply because of polling. Republicans spent so much money demonizing trans people that it's not politically expedient to take the side of civil rights.

Trans women can no longer attend:
- Columbia University in New York
- Harvard University in Massachusetts
- Brown University in Rhode Island

And they tell us we'll be safe in blue states. And they tell us it's not a pogrom.

I kinda feel like most of us who will never been reclusive millionaires would do way better at it than any of the ones that currently exist.

Update: fortunately, I proved to lazy to go out, so I made salmon and vegetables at home. Kinda fell assbackwards into "responsibility".

People make being right or wrong such a reflection on who you are as a person, sometimes even a moral judgement, no matter how low stakes the substance of the discourse is...when really it's more of a reflection on you how well you take recognizing when you're wrong and accept being corrected.

Anyone referring to people asking for aid as "parasites" deserves to be hurled out of society via trebuchet.

Really feel like Cory Booker is a lot of performance, but no substance.

I mean, I was falling asleep in my chair at my computer, so it was going to happen regardless, but it definitely put me way off my sleep schedule, so it's less "Oops" and more...
