maybe i'm desensitized bc of the Absolute State of American Politics, but like. there are much worse things to learn about a whyte candidate then "had a really bad tattoo, MAYBE lied about the context, very clearly isn't Like That now if he did".

... i feel like it's fair to vet candidates, etc, but like. if the guy has NEVER sided w/ nazis, consistently says he didn't know it was a nazi tattoo, & already got it covered up, i just... don't... really know to say, man.

In other news, I finally started reading THE SHOCK DOCTRINE. I can't believe how relevant to current events the concept feels just from this introduction alone. God, I love Naomi Klein's work.

An OC (Christian Jr.) that my creative partner & I own, wearing a cat costume & going "Nya!" w/ his itty-bitty tiddies out. He/him.

That OC's brother (Godhead) & father (Archie) reacting to his silliness, w/ Godhead looking some mixture of annoyed & perturbed, while Archie (a freak) looks overjoyed as he snaps photos w/ his old-ass flip-phone. Archie's speech-bubble reads: "Yes, sweetie, just like that!"

MS Paint crashed right before I could save it, so this is all I have as a result -- which is unfortunate, bc I know I'd done another hour of work past this point. Oh well. Not nearly as detailed as I intended, but *remarkably* spot-on stylistically despite being in a huge art rut at the time.

A Manglo / Yukaman study I started, then abruptly gave up on bc I HAAATE painting in this program. As a result, only the canvas behind the sketch has color from a very brief attempt at blending, while the sketch lines themselves are in a light blue instead of black.

W/ that aside! My "Future" (~1 yr) Goals:

- Make a homepage on the "indie web" starting w/ Neocities. Eventually I'll need to buy my own domain.

- Start [original NSFW project]. Most of it'll be here, but anything Seemingly-TOS-Unfriendly will be posted to Twitter & co. (+ linked via AO3) instead.

A WIP text post I wrote that extended far past the character limit. It reads: Hello, friends. I am Sick (tm). Again. On a better note: while I've still got waaay too much Twitter-centric muscle memory built-up, I'm finally starting to feel just... Done w/ the platform overall -- the vibes are rotten, most of my friends left, etc. Also, this is prolly the perfect time for me to force-habit BlueSky in general; I just moved back to my bedroom, I'm starting to make semi-daily progress on several diff. hobbies, & my mild art block abruptly left, like, 3 days ago. In fact, if it weren't for this fucking hopefully-cold, I'd be finishing up a novella-length fanfic right now. Goddamn sinuses.

THIS ONE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE FEASIBLE! I'm gonna play around w/ a few similar-ish mods like "The Joy Of Painting" + Axiom & have a Big Think for a while, but I REALLY wanna marry the amazing freedom of AC's CC system w/ Minecwaft proper.
