Same folks who say we can only evaluate ppl from the past based on what was the "norm" for society while completely overlooking the fact that there were plenty of people who were morally against human enslavement. Enslaved who revolted, abolitionists, & general ppl who objected on moral grounds.

I just feel like we have focused our energy on understanding them to the point that their feelings are the only ones that matter. We are trapped bc we don't seek/highlight/feature those who exhibit more care for everyone. We have to stop making their narrative the important thing.

Also, I am outright challenging the notion that they are the ones who have been left behind. All we do politically is seek their comfort. Run ourselves ragged trying to appease their grievances which so far require my bodily autonomy, self-expression, and voice to belong to them.

?? Yes, we have all these things in common, but that crowd doesn't seem 2 have vested interest in equitable care. Let's stop featuring/asking them their thoughts & concentrate on those who have shown a dedication to equitable care. Perhaps a new narrative will catch them up 2 the rest of us.

Who has been left behind? The group we have countless articles, interviews, and focus groups for every year of my life or the groups who have been fighting voter suppression, been taken advantage of, & are constantly saving you all anyway? How much more time are we to spend on their worldview?
