From this, a random forest model was further optimized to generate predictions on best formulation, and these were compared to results from generative large language models like Chat GPT, Gemini and DeepSeek.

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microflu...

Thrilled that this work is out just in time for ferragosto! Here we used microfluidics to produce a database of nanoparticles and screened different machine learning models to predict nanoparticle attributes (size, dispersity, and loading efficiency).

Excited to share that our work on #adhesive #auxetic #patches for dynamic organ repair has been funded by the NHLBI! These patches are highly stretchable and adaptable, making them suitable for a variety of organs, and they can deliver therapeutics while providing sustained release.

Congrats to Claudia who defended her BSc thesis and graduated today with top marks in Pharmacy and Biotechnology for Health. Claudia built her project from scratch, developing thermosetting hydrogels for controlled release. Very excited to see what she does next!
