The Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia is a homologation special of the rally car using the basis of a Cayenne S, but stripped out, and the running gear of a GTS. 285 were built, with 26 reputedly in the U.S. three of those were manuals.

I might feature this Classic Reflections Coachworks Corvette C2 in CRM at some point next year. These are built on a modern C6 platform and shod with LS3 V8 engines. CRC built 225 of them over sixteen years.

My first three cars: 1979 Skoda Estelle 105S - head gasket blew after two weeks. Couldn’t see out of the rear window for steam. 1981 Austin Metro 1.0L - aftermarket sunroof held water, pouring through onto my suit crotch on the same bend in Leicester. 1982 MG Metro - rusted as you looked at it.

Mercury initially debuted the Panther-based Marauder as a two door convertible with a 335bhp supercharged version of the 4.6 litre modular V8. It was a one-off and sold at Sothebys in 2012. The production car would be a version of the sedan with the suspension of the CVPI and producing 302bhp.

Nissan didn’t think many Americans would be able to pronounce “Qashqai” - true story - so the car debuted in the U.S. as Rogue Sport instead.

I came close to adding this Saab 9-7x Aero to my collection. They were a badge engineered version of the GM360 SUVs offered under most of GM’s brands, but the Aero used the 6.0 litre LS2 unit and is very fast and very rare. Its sister car, the Chevrolet Trailblazer SS, used the same setup.
