An interesting fact is that both the filaments used were either originally intended to be used for this print, or were actually used in the print. I still had the rolls all these years later. The clear is almost gone, but I still have quite a bit of the green left.

I am reprinting a lampshade that I designed almost 8 years ago. This time I printed both pieces in PETG with a 0.8mm nozzle. The first time, the clear was printed in PLA and at 0.4mm. The green PETG was still wet despite drying it, so I will need to reprint it.

I have only done one BGA board with a tiny 20 ball device. I have never designed something with a larger device because at the time the cost of the boards was prohibitive. I may have to take a look again as costs have fallen for services that can make these boards.

What can you do for ~$3 in filament? Custom print a shelf to hold your NAS, Router, and Doorbell Base Station.
Over Christmas break, I was able to clean up all of our wireless networking space such that it is a much cleaner installation and in a better location for speed and space utilization.

Am I the only one that uses drawing to maintain focus during classes or talks? I find it helps me to focus on what is being said while being able to ignore other outside distractions. This was my latest sketch of my Santa hat and an ornament on a wood floor.

If you are interested, here is the basic assessment that I did that brought me to this conclusion. The numbers are not perfect, but I do believe that it shows that there is at least one side that has either a missing or displaced door in relation to the other side.

This would allow for both a rather narrow top, but also appearing to show a hingeline on each side of the sail while also the forward silo on the port side appearing to be further back than the starboard side.

After looking at the pictures, it appears that the most forward tube on each side is staggered, not side by side. This would also help understand the door to door spacing on each side not being closer. Here is what my crude top down estimate is for the configuration.

This title is misleading compared to the video. The video distinguishes that this is that the matrix of PLA is the issue and that there are other FDM filaments that have CF that are actually useful.

Continuing with my concept development for an RC 1:72 @BMT_Defence SSGT submarine.
I have found a clean path for wiring as well as making the fins and propulsor shroud separable. The only compromise is using externally visible fasteners for the shroud.

Today's efforts. BMT Defense SSGT concept had a rotor between structural components. Challenging for a 1:72 model!
Needs to be:
-Structural
-Separable for assy and maintenance
-Pass wires for control
-Water tight
Not a trivial task.

I am curious to know what you used for the back light? I am doing a similar effort though with a Pinefeat Canon lens adaptor and a RasPi. I have been thinking about making a collimated light source for back lighting.

For AI interfacing, I prefer Microsoft Copilot. Over the past few months, for the things I do, it has performed better in back to back testing.

This is always the challenge with trying to model subjects that the originals do not exist anymore. or hard to get access to. I am trying to piece data together to do a Kairyu submarine. All the drawings I have conflict, and I have started to use photogrammetry to extract the data I am looking for.

Unlike a 747, though, have substantially increased sound reduction (many orders of magnitude less) due to the fact that weight on a ground mounted turbine is not a driving issue. Run in a combined cycle (also not available in a 747) they run at about 56% thermodynamic efficiency.
