A Cordoba Traditional stage guitar on a stool in the lab. Shape of a classical guitar with cutout but much thinner. Instead of a big, round resonant hole, it has three small ones, the size of a big thumb in the body part above the ~18th fret. It was on sale - for a rrrealy rrealy good price; only bc someone returned it. Brand new. Thanks, hehe.

Workbench with some electronics, tools, soldering irons/tweezers. In the middle, two Weller desktop solder fume extractors on top of each other. Only one does nothing. They suck at sucking and filtering. Not recommended.

One of the batteries immediately jumped to 75%. Tempted to start the inverter and achieve perpetual energy.

That’s not the way it’s supposed to work, lol. Now emergency-charging four solar batteries to save them. Two limiters working against each other, but I found a setting that doesn’t freak out the power supply.

Simple 6dB+ antenna gain mod for small ESP32 boards. Nice.

Screenshot of a „403 Forbidden - Apple“ page when I try to access the support forum. My user name is „.DS_Store“. Only used it one or two times, so no loss, but it‘s still half there and still not usable. Some manual address field changes made it possible to post something, but there‘s no way to view the post or any of the possibly incoming replies, lol.

Apparently, it was a bad idea to put a dot in the Apple support forum’s username when it was still allowed.

A Sony Playstation 1 was transformed into a four string bass guitar. The pickup and the bridge are mounted on the lid. The two big power and lid open buttons were turned into potentiometers. The left controller port is used as the instrument cable. Lol.

3dB BW is ~1.15GHz for one and ~810MHz for two channels activated, but this thing completely freaks out with three or more channels turned on. Full of aliases (even beyond 1.5GHz :) Maybe no CPU power left for filtering, hehe. But it’s actually nonsense to test this; signalpeeping a toy scope, lol.

Honestly, none of the advanced features, options, or triggers are really working on this MHO98 thingy, hehe. I only grabbed it for the form factor and the easy transformerless galvanic isolation. Bandwidth and signal integrity seem okay, though.

Ended up taping the Rigol scope to the desk so it wouldn’t do a frontflip every time I touched the active probe.

We’ve got a Rigol demo unit here as well.
So far, its only real activity is displaying ‘Rigol’ and generating hot air. Maybe it’s busy counting bits in its massive memory, or just contemplating existence and entropy.

New Keysight oscilloscope. Now with digital channels on the back. No option to move them up/down on screen. Device not nearly as responsive as the old ones; everything’s lagging, ugh. And I absolutely dislike this new touchscreen trend. Why can’t I just have a button for the trigger menu goddamnit.
