Saw a great blue heron on the Rivanna River this morning!

What the fuck!?!? That’s my worst nightmare!

It was nice to see so many houses of worship represented there today at “CvillePride.

This was my view as I was walking to the Pride Festival.

I’m not against cars. I own one.

But we need to make it much, much easier, pleasant, and safer to walk, bike, or take transit than it is to drive somewhere by myself in an empty car.

And there’s no way to do that without making some drivers angry.

Thankfully, more and more drivers understand.

The city of Bloomington has also added covered spaces in a parking lot that doubles as a farmers market as well. And a couple more photos of the blocked road and outdoor dining spaces.

Some things that Bloomington, Indiana is doing right!
1) Lots of “No turn on red” signs in pedestrian areas
2) Closing streets off to cars and allowing restaurants to use that outdoor space
3) converting unused train tracks into rail trails in the middle of the city
4) Lots of little pocket parks

That is the absolute worst! Hopefully, your dog didn’t come back inside after being sprayed? My wife and daughter stayed at a hotel the first night after our dog’s interaction with a skunk.

Yes, and the city is building new sidewalks across and down the street from this property!

That’s a huge house! 4 times the square footage of our 1,500 sf house!
