Book cover for The Dad Trap by Ian Eagleton which I managed to pick up on my Boxing Day bookshop trip and was my last read of 2025. It deals so sensitively and authentically with a number of issues, including divorce, neurodivergence, homophobia, friendship and mental health struggles whilst still managing to be hilarious and super-readable. Great stuff.

Yes, I was lucky enough to get a book voucher. So I bought A Murder Most Unladylike, The Secrets of a Sun King, Alice with a Why and a few adult books too! 😍📚

I always think of it that way too. There are so many great books it's impossible to read them all when they come out. I also like knowing I can read the next one sooner.

I think my favourites have been the second Whisperwicks book and Dracula and Daughters by Emma Carroll.

I haven't actually read these two yet. They are still on my list. Too many great books, not enough time! I will get to them once I can though. :)

I'd probably recommend the Time Key series by @mglnrd.bsky.social. The second in the series The Legend of Viking Thunder was released a couple of months ago and it's brilliant. So starting with Hunt for the Golden Scarab and then moving onto the sequel.

I’ve just read Dracula and Daughters by Emma Carroll. Next I have Secrets of a Sun King again by Emma Carroll. Feeling under the weather = comfort reads and I love her work so much!
