How was it?

12 year old me would be very impressed by what we evolved into, but confused by the fact that we're flat broke all the time.

Airline pilots have to retire at 65 because it's considered too dangerous to let people over that age be in charge of a plane. And yet there's no upper age limit for someone to be in charge of a country. Ridiculous.

It was really radical. Like a generation gap signifier.

I watched the first episode when it was aired in 1982 and it kind of changed my life. I was ten years old.

I was in the supermarket recently and heard a man ask what I assume was his elderly father if he wanted a vegetarian pie.

The old man, slightly offended, said "no".

He then looked at the pie and said "It's not a vegetarian pie, it's a vegetable pie" and put it in his trolley.

It was both, obvs.
