I was talking to Jen about this. It’s apparently that this app is more like twitter rather than facebook or tiktok where there is an actual conversation. It rather sucks IMHO.

This seems to be not just a web interface limitation as I can’t go back to original thread on iphone either. Please tell me I’m missing something obvious… someone?

I'm either an idiot or just not observant, perhaps both. I'm looking at my notifications on the web app side of this and it shows me a notification to a reply to a post. How do I get back to the post it was from?

From zero to deployed in less than a week? Maybe a prototype but nothing that scales. Just the opinion of an old fart who implements Microsoft Azure.

Maybe with support from @mcuban.bsky.social they can handle the storage and networking costs of longer/decent videos. We don’t need youtube to recreate tiktok. Cloud storage can be cheap if bought in bulk. Latency isn’t a huge issue for video as sub-millisecond isn’t required. And it’s write-once.

Are videos going to be limited to sixty seconds which is current limit on bluesky? Hope you can increase that.

What is up with Microsoft suddenly dropping support from Windows for a Dell mainstream printer that I’ve had for twelve years? And it’s not even like “oh we can’t find a driver to install” at install time. It’s “we can’t find a driver for a printer we printed to yesterday”. Microsoft.. do better.

Logistics: Bluesky needs to make it easier to see comments in the context of the original post. I had to go back to my profile to see the original post this was a comment on. Am I missing something obvious in the bluesky web UI?

This also shows total revenue coming in and not just "non-retirement income". The deficit would be 2.08T without this borrowing for 2024.

Also: is it disingenous to show "Social Insurance & Retirement" on the income side too since in theory that should be held separate for future social security reimbursements? Since Congress tradionally borrows liberally from that account I guess it makes sense to show it.
