THE LOST CITY is a short comic story written by me and illustrated by an American artist @quigleyer.bsky.social. The idea for it came to me when I was playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Tomb Raider Remastered. 🎮

An old one, for Alex Hakobian, the guy who always makes sure I have fun on my projects.

Why do it so big? Honest question here, not trying to be a jerk. In my (TTRPG) freelancing days 300-400 was print quality and web was 72. Is there something else to have all of those extra pixels for?

This was a very early lettering attempt, I should make that clear. It will be a lot more left-to-right in all regards next time. There's so much to making comics.

When I was doing freelance art for roleplaying games this was a topic of discussion I saw a lot. The general consensus back then was that "both men and women run around naked with weapons, it's the poses and the situations you put them in."

This was a cover for a settlement building TTRPG supplement called Schemes of the Autarch by Phil Lewis. The problem with awesome clients is you often forget them because everything goes so smoothly.

For the most part I don't buy into the traditional concept of talent. Most creative endeavors are skills, a "talent" is really just your enjoyment for doing the activity. You gain skills doing your activity, as anyone would- but it seems to be easier for you because the work is fun.
