I could really do with a flight to get into DKB. I love what I've played but I've just not been able to sink into it properly. Always a distraction, a job, a deadline. NG:R looks amazing. Hope to get to try it soon.

I don’t always agree with Andrew or his cohorts on movies (and that’s fine! As they say it’s fine to like things) but holy heckings, this statement carries a lot of weight with me. Looking forward to seeing it.

The CRT Imacs were lovely for that. And those first LCD iMacs too, where they could easily and comfortably and safely (I believe) be picked up by the monitor arm. The Anglepoise iMac, to me, was the pinnacle of that era of Apple design. It was functional, and it also just looked *SO* damned cool.

I did have a (now former) colleague mock me for my case, saying how bulky it was, and two days later, he dropped his phone and not only smashed the screen but damaged one of the buttons.

Something something karma.

Yeah. I definitely wouldn't trust it. For tablets or phones, I'm 100% a 'case' guy, and I want it to be a case that's got enough texture on it to have a grip. Don't care if it adds to the profile, I'd rather have a slightly larger protected device.

I love machines like the SX-64 and the PPC-512, because they had handles. Can be as heavy as you like but when you've got a good solid handle, you're ok. Too much modern technology can slip out of your hand for the lack of a good handle.

I was going to ‘Computer Lessons’ in the late 80s/early 90s, as my parents decided that any hobby needed to have the overbearing weight of a semi-academic structure, and I remember my tutor having one of these, and (I think) a compaq that was about the size of a vcr. It blew my friggin’ mind.

We still had some in the college I worked in up until 2018. They only existed in the science labs where they were used with specific sensors and the like. Wish I could have taken one with me.

I am going to stream the shit out of this, and also have an idea for an abjectly stupid in person 2 person streaming gimmick that will mainly result in both of us looking like an absolute fool.

This week is fairly cursed when it comes to streams. So… stick a pin in tonight’s. Also possibly tomorrow’s. Maybe I should just pack it in and do Jigsaw puzzles or macaroni art.

Off to a taping of ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ this afternoon and very excited to see all of the bits that will never make it past the lawyers.

They’re the worst. All they need to do is find a gap into the building, find a source of food and *boom*.
