For reasons too duplicitous to go into I ended up going to a charity ceilidh tonight. And despite my ingrained cynicism I rather enjoyed it. I think the bottle and a half of wine might have something to do with it, but who knew careering around like a bewildered buffoon could be fun

Forgot to mention that BC Camplight were brilliant last night. Great songs, thoughtful, touching and just tremendous fun. The perfect antidote to the nostalgic slop that is the live music experience these days. Go and see them. And I think he needs the money

Had a great weekend in Leeds seeing my boy. His brother is now home as he has a 'reading week', which appears to mean bringing all your dirty washing home, drinking my beer and lying on your bed with headphones on listening to drum & bass

Luton and Stansted are the worst. I particularly like the Border Force experience where you queue for an hour to get shouted at by a bloke who looks like Phil Mitchell because you've put your passport in the machine the wrong way round
