Earth’s heat imbalance is rising - and air pollution isn’t the cause Earth is warming faster because clouds trap more sunlight, not because air pollution has recently decreased.

"Earth keeps getting warmer because more energy from sunlight stays trapped in the climate system... When incoming energy becomes greater than outgoing energy, heat builds up in oceans, land, and air."

5 years 11 months ago, I become very concerned.

5 years 10 months ago, I wander my city, dazed, knowing what's going to happen soon.

5 years 9 months ago, I read an email that suggests anosmia is a symptom. I decide to do everything I can to not get infected. Still doing so.

Flu: It is like Covid again, says principal as 170 pupils sick Confirmed flu cases among adults and children across Northern Ireland have more than trebled in the last two weeks.

This is exactly what happens when a novel seasonal influenza strain meets a population with Covid-induced immune dysregulation; it's not 'like Covid again', it's the ongoing and continuous effects of Covid.

Extent, volume and thickness are three ways to measure Arctic sea-ice. Extent is currently at a record low for the day. Volume hit a record monthly low in each of the last two months.

And "thickness" just set an all-time record low in October.

A great weekend at East Neuk Knits; knitting, wool and yarn fair. Farmers with their cashmere goats and yarn producers from all over Scotland and the islands. Too many temptations! But I bought some 100% Alpaca wool from local producers at Bowbridge Alpacas near Peat Inn. I must go and visit them.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

The final data for 2025 is in, and the planet saw 152 days with the global 2m surface temperature at or above the pre-industrial maximum of 15.5Β°C. This is just short of 154 days in 2023 and the record 160 days in 2024.
