The sitting mayor of NYC just told reporters he hasn't read or listened to the news for the last month:
"Four weeks ago, I stopped reading the papers and listening to the news. I sleep so much better.”
"[My staff] gives me little blips, they give me enough to understand."
"I think that if you look at the snippets that you're talking about, there's some real problem with snippets," Adams says.
"This a real problem when those who are conducting the investigation believe that it's politically motivated."
Pressed by the Post if he'd call on the DOJ and judge to release the full conversations since it would, as he says, prove his point.
Adams stops short, saying it's up to the judge.
The NYT has asked the judge to not agree to seal.
