You always had the option to print out the forms from the IRS website and fill them out yourself (or digitally file them on the IRS website).

The software helps you fill out the forms. You weren't required to use it.

Artists have to make a living too, and if there are people who are buying at their prices, then they are running their business appropriately.

(and if the price really is too high for the market? The artist will figure that out on their own when they aren't making sales.)

There's a difference between "I want it but I can't afford it" and "the price is too high."

The first one is life; it sucks but it happens. We've all been there.

The second one is entitlement. You're not so special that you deserve for someone to drop the price just for you.

If someone buys it, the price wasn't too high. These are luxury items; we have no moral imperative to make sure everyone can access them.

If no one buys, the seller will have to drop the price to make the sale. That's just how it works. It's up to the market.

I don't see why it's important for people to say that the price for fursuits or art is "too high."

The only time that would be acceptable is if an artist complaining about not making sales. Then, suggesting they lower the price might be appropriate.

It's so cruel to sell something like that out from under his kids and grandkids.

I just went ahead and deleted the post that I made. Next time I'm going to clarify that I will block self-recommendations on sight unless they link to a quality portfolio (more than 10 examples, including at least one example of the specific thing I'm trying to purchase).

Be careful posting anything on bluesky with the com-word that means exchanging money for art.

You will get a bunch of replies from people with portfolios of wildly varying quality, or even zero art posts at all, whose replies are almost 100% begging for work or self-recommending on similar posts.
