Do it do it do it! I've got the most basic 40m inverted v dipole mounted on my deck with a 10' length of PVC, and it works so well with just 50W. The ends of my antenna are just barely off the ground, and it works great for 40m, 15m, 10m, and 6m with a tuner. 20m is fine on the upper portion.

It's actually totally fine. It's kind of refreshing, like if you worked a long day and needed sport drink, this would fill that need very well. I don't like pickles that much and I'd get another

One thing I've come to realize about #amateurradio is that's is basically a fully cooperative MMORPG. You all work together on different bands to say hello, there's achievements, skills trees, heck even raids (contests)! Plus, it's IRL so you actually have to mess with your physical gear.

So my SAT scores are the height of my education and everything else doesn't matter? Got it!

Like just imagine not growing after high school. Just being stagnant forever.

There's been a few YouTubers lately focused on amateur radio. I got my license in May, and the main factor was learning about Parks on the Air and my dad being a ham. So, I grew up around it but never got into it. Also, during these scary times, it's good for emergencies

So if you had your technician license, you could easy talk to your parents without a radio
