But instead to allow students to make sure they are in a good space to confront the material. In that sense, I've always seen them as an access tool for people affected by violence, especially sexual violence.

I don't think the purpose of a content warning is to make people not read it, but to allow people who may be affected to make an informed decision about when and whether to view the story. I've used them in teaching contexts (with adults) and my approach has not been "it's OK to skip this text"...

I think about this a lot, but usually in relation to myself! I was at university for 10 years and many of my peers earn much more than I ever will, even if I remain in my chosen career for a decade.
I think it's fairly human to envy things that seem *just* out of reach.

Oh I LOVED this when I saw it last year. Really tremendous acting from the whole cast, both main and supporting actors. I really believed in the character arcs, too, which is hard to do over a short series trying to cover someone's whole life

Thanks, but I only do non-fiction audio books. I somehow can't get into fiction when it's spoken word, no matter how good the book or narrator
