still amused that people thought the pedo ring was being ran from a pizza parlor and not through a bunch of rich and connected people that would look the other way to get other things they wanted

I mean, what’s the definition you’re using for β€œany good”? They have shooting, size, multiple ball handlers for crunch time. As with any team, quality of depth is an unknown, and the defense needs improvement, but they’ll score enough to be in probably every game

And Jenkins hasn’t been great at C, managed to worsen 2 spots with the signing

Sounds like you described the Packers at the same time lol

Well could’ve been the Wicks game if he makes that. 🀣

Seems like the OL has been the consistent problem this year and offense wasn’t like this the last 2. Hard to get consistent success when that group is so inconsistent

Having not been online all day, is the other just a healthy inactive? Or active and proactively not using him?

Well the punt play isn’t really an issue. If he is aware of where he is, he doesn’t try to tap it and it just rolls in anyways. If he doesn’t get that far down, he can’t reach to tap it, so it was more of β€œworth a shot” than mistake

The game where Wicks learned to catch

Since everyone knows it’s purely performative, kind of makes it useless, and just fodder for people when someone deserves to be fired

It’s always explained at UW and most other schools that do the same that it’s recruiting- to not deter recruits or prevent other schools from negative recruiting β€œthey didn’t extend him, he may be on his way out”. Doesn’t cost school & lets them avoid 0.1% fewer questions if will/wont they fire him

09.11.2025 02:38 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So to believe the broadcast on UW game, coaches knew their starting QB didn’t fit system & have been stuck to trying to make it work anyways in case he comes back? That simultaneously makes me sympathize for how the offense could look so bad & angry the staff had no better/alt plan to be competitive

The plus side is that the fad of them has already run its course for most part, now it’s just a matter of fixing them if you find them

in total, Jones traded Parsons, Smith, and 2nd rd pick to get Kenny Clark, Williams, and a 1?

04.11.2025 19:39 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

but i thought trading for Kenny Clark was gonna fix their DL???

I wonder if we as a culture are learning how to end some of these quicker? Mostly just as a result of getting the parents/corporations on them sooner? Maybe a generation of parents now being similarly as online as their kids helps in this one way? Lol

03.11.2025 04:02 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Seems that it’s not that he’s that injured, it’s that the team thinks they have a decent backup and don’t want to give him away to another team

02.11.2025 23:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Only thing that redeems him somewhat is that he has a record of prior stability, that Anders never had. I’d worry about the psyche of benching a kicker but since it’s the vet being benched for young guy, I’m less concerned than if it was opposite

With Watson and now Kraft, is GB turf veering into one of the β€œplaces teams/players dread because their field sucks” territory?

02.11.2025 22:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Crossed on short side of field 25yd up looked open with both on that side going back with Watson

02.11.2025 20:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

agreed, which comes down to the fact that Ted being the only big money option is likely true (and annoying). My only hope is they'd rather wait and fire/hire in short order to limit recruits having as much time to get wandering eyes (not like they don't already, but any bit may help?)

29.10.2025 21:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

but does that mean you think they have many more big money donors putting in money on level of Kellner but UW won't admit to them or won't spend that money? Or they all seem to be on board with LF staying?

29.10.2025 20:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

true, but from comments over years from beat reporters, etc. it certainly seems like there aren't a large number of big money donors to athletics. and lots of wealthy alumni (if still accurate) only matter if they like to spend on athletics, which again, sound from reports are they don't

29.10.2025 20:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

isn't the bigger issue is that Kellner is the only big donor? Sounds like they've never successfully expanded donor base to get more big $ donors so it's like being stuck with an aging owner of a team who think the old way should still be good enough. Kellner is OK with Mac/LF which sucks

29.10.2025 20:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

which isn't to say don't fire him for that reason or anything, but I'm sure at least 1 of those "more valuable" or "sexier" schools will take the hottest up&coming name in favor of overspending on a big name coach, which reinforces the idea they aren't going to spend like crazy to outbid others

29.10.2025 20:35 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

and while i agree the actual valuation of the article doesn't hold real meaning, those correlate with the image of the program/school on national landscape if you're ranking programs in terms of HC job appeal, appeal for recruits, etc. There are at least 3-4 better jobs open already

29.10.2025 20:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

yea, which is why i say the money and org need ran properly rather than just having/spending $ for spending's sake. Every article on things like assistant pay, how organized NIL & internal payment systems are, etc. describe it as a behind those others

29.10.2025 20:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

and yet that valuation article has them valued way below USC, reinforcing that bottom line revenue doesn't equal what they're willing to spend, the donor reach/impact. They're a mid-tier B1G/SEC program if ran/organized properly, which includes more than just replacing the coach

29.10.2025 20:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

yea, more of a hope than anything. But with his body's reliability at this point, they almost would still want a cheaper arm like Quintana or Rea too

29.10.2025 17:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It seems they do each year, just a matter of where they find them. Cortez, Civale, Quintana in 25. Rea, Civale in 24. All in the 5.4-5.7 avg IP/start. Could be a matter of whether they try to bring back Woo for that role or do more 'dumpster diving', or both (hopefully)
