Thinking of seeing the new Predator movie, or the one where Katniss and Edward Cullen are married tomorrow. Or nothing.
Thoughts? Recommendations?
I'm not a huge Predator fan, or Katniss and Edward Cullen fan, but those movies look interesting. I dunno.

Whenever I get to the end of Jane Eyre, I'm infuriated that its final words are spent on St. John Rivers, all the more so because the passage is written beautifully. That man wasn't worth it, Ms. BrontΓ«.

I go onto Instagram and the first post is about Chris Kreider cheating on Mika Zibanejad with Mason McTavish.*
I don't need to see that. It's rude and hurtful. This whole forced estrangement has been difficult enough.

A chart showing a 20 year price change between sectors.
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.
If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

How Oscar Isaac Made Frankenstein New Again
When director Guillermo del Toro asked Isaac to star in his magnum opus, the actor dug deep into his own historyβand Princeβs.
I don't have the vocabulary to do alt text on Oscar Isaac pictures, so I'm just sharing a link to the article, and you can figure out how to describe this man yourself

Totally get it if people don't want to watch a show about government, but Death by Lightning, on Netflix, is excellent.
And it takes place in 1881, so the politics shouldn't be too triggering.

Condemn Edward Fairfax Rochester if you must, but I'm pretty sure locking the patient in an attic was state of the art mental health care in the 1840s.

I've only seen the first one, so I don't really have an opinion. I suspect filmmakers are more visually minded than us and focus more on that aspect of it.

Yes, but mostly we recorded movies off TV. And while it does seem like a lot, if you adjust for inflation, you have to remember that wages were the same and the economy was strong, so families had way more disposable income for stuff like this.

Just watched the #Frankenstein behind-the-scenes documentary on Netflix, and I also really recommend that. There's a subplot about the kinds of stories GDT tells, and it's interesting at the end to hear him talk about wanting to do something different after the discussions I've had about the movie.
