Gratis lidmaatschap Bibliotheek Rotterdam is een succes: ‘Jongeren blijven nu ook na hun 18de lid’ Sinds 1 mei biedt de Bibliotheek Rotterdam als eerste in Nederland een gratis lidmaatschap aan alle inwoners. De Volkskrant ging een kijkje nemen in de aanzienlijk vollere bibliotheek.

De comeback van bibliotheken de laatste jaren is zo'n prachtige ontwikkeling. Ze ontwikkelen zich tot veel meer: ontmoetingsplek, studiecentrum, hulp bij digitale zaken.

Meer investeren zou zich maatschappelijk wel eens ruim kunnen terugbetalen.
