It has been one year since the launch of the North Wales medical school in Bangor, with the first students set to graduate in 2028.

They are the doctors of the future who will help our NHS deliver better services for patients in Wales. πŸ§‘β€βš•οΈπŸš‘πŸ₯πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ

Labour MS carolynthomasms.bsky.social has raised concerns in the Senedd about the environmental impact of the #HyNet carbon dioxide pipeline which will plough through communities, conservation sites and watercourses in #NorthWales. She's the only politician to speak out.

It was great to appear on @sharpenditv.bsky.social this week and promote Welsh investment in publicly owned renewable energy projects in North Wales.

Profits will be put back into public services, not spirited away by overseas shareholders as has too often historically been the case! 🌹

Pleased to hear the Chancellor of the Exchequer speak of the Β£400m which has so far been recovered by the Covid Corruption Commissioner.

Money that was doled out to the Tory Government's pals for dodgy & unused PPE, now being put to use in our communities, in our schools, and in our health service.

As a former council cabinet member, I know how tough 14 years of austerity has been.

That’s why this week I pressed the First Minister for a commitment from the Welsh Government to use every tool to shield councils & public services from inflationary pressures, while other parties risk more cuts.

Fake lawn weathered with fallen leaves, warped with ruckles and puddles, rendered wall with green algae in the splash zone at the base, weeds growing in the gravel margin & toadstools emerging along the joins. Bleaching, weed killer, scrubbing, & plastic pollution will just contaminate the ground, making recovery harder once the fake lawn reaches the end of its shelf life and has to be removed & disposed of as landfill.

Even fake lawns need maintenance - but the sort that’s harmful to nature. Real grass just absorbs things, but fake grass deteriorates over time, weathering and warping as nature tries to return. Can’t see how this is any easier than just cutting the grass and chucking the clippings under a bush.πŸ’

I've written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, calling for prudential borrowing powers for Wales.

The current Β£1bn cap restricts our ability to invest in homes, transport, health, and education.

To deliver our national renewal, we must unlock Wales' ability to invest.
