Right to buy thankfully already ended here in Wales, thousands of new low carbon council and social housing being built and the Transitional Accommodation Capital Funding programme means councils can bring empty houses back into stock.

02.08.2025 21:03 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A letter from Carolyn Thomas, Member of the Senedd for North Wales, to the Foreign Secretary, David Lammy MP. The letter calls for a full arms embargo on Israel, for a widening of sanctions, and for a ban on all trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. In addition, the letter queries the use of RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, asking for clarity about the ongoing use of the base and whether other states, including Israel, have use of the base.
I have written to the Foreign Secretary calling for a full arms embargo and a widening of sanctions on Israel.
Deaths from starvation and the killing of those queuing for vital supplies represent a new level of cruelty.
Action is needed now to bring those responsible to account.
Delighted that from September 1st, 16-21 year olds across Wales will get £1 bus fares for a year, and unlimited day tickets for just £3.
To get the discounted fares, you must register for a MyTravelPass if you don't already have one: mytravelpass.tfw.wales
Standing with @yes.cymru at the Senedd in support of devolving the Crown Estate to Wales.
With backing from all 22 Welsh local authorities and cross-party support in the Senedd, it’s clear: it’s time for Wales to take control of its own natural resources. #DevolveTheCrownEstate
Thanks to the First Minister @prifweinidog.gov.wales for dropping by the @rspbcymru.bsky.social stand to hear about our work for a #NaturePositiveWales

Delighted to see that the £26m coastal defence project in Prestatyn has been completed 9 months ahead of schedule.
With rising sea levels and more frequent extreme weather events, this investment will protect more than 2,000 homes and 85 business across Prestatyn.
Wet wipes containing plastic will be banned in Wales next year to reduce the environmental harm caused by pollution

I agree, private means profit. In North Wales an orthopedic hub is being built but also wellbeing hubs, with more community beds and facilities for a variety of needs working with local authorities.

A great example is in Denbighshire, where @carolynthomasms.bsky.social has been celebrating the benefits of managing road verges for nature.

Back in 2019, as a County Councillor in Flintshire, I launched a Senedd petition calling for buses to be run for people, not profit. It gathered over 3,500 signatures.
Six years later, I am delighted that now, in 2025, Wales has begun the journey back to public control of our buses! 🚌
