GM is one of the big winners of the EV race βΒ and yet it's still taking a $1.6 billion charge in Q3 because of the Trump administration's huge policy swings.
Here's @andrewmoseman.bsky.social with the story:

16.10.2025 20:20 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Americans raced to buy any EV they could get their hands on before the federal tax credit expired last month β except for Tesla's Cybertruck.
Here's @andrewmoseman.bsky.social on how the ultimate bromobile became Tesla's Edsel:

NEW from @andrewmoseman.bsky.social: The latest game-changing EV feature is charging speed, which "gets the EV driver back on the road quickly rather than forcing them to find new and creative ways to kill time until the battery is ready."

"When EVs charge in this mindful manner, using energy during times of day when itβs cheap for utilities to provide it, data suggests they can effectively push down electricity prices for everyone," writes @andrewmoseman.bsky.social.
How EV ownership could lead to lower energy bills for everyone:
Today in Texas solar provided more than one-third of the power for 8 straight hours, peaking over 29,000 megawatts at 1:25 for the 3rd highest total ever.
Last night, batteries set an all time record @ 7.3 gigawatts.
Despite an 80 GW peak, prices have been <2.5c/kWh all day.
