i wasn't trying to say that climate change had no impact - no species is immune - but for fireflies in particular, ambient light is a major contributor to their decline because of what the light does to their mating but more fake light means humans nearby and destroying their habitats

that example is more about there being too much ambient light impacting their ability to mate than it is climate change (although people are still to blame in either case)
