The joint account set up is now complete. It was actually quite easy.
Next we have to convert it into an Executor account for handling mum’s estate.
That will require another trip into town, but at least we are now making progress

Absolutely. The branch they closed was literally 300yds away.
Having to take the bus into town has been inconvenient and time consuming.

Our GP practice is just merging with several others and apparently you’ll be able to book appointments online.

It’s bizarre. The Lloyd’s my mum used you can’t actually open an account in branch, you have to do it online.
But if you want a joint account you can’t do that online and both have to be in the same branch to do it.
Currently in NatWest hoping to achieve a way to open a joint account. 🤞🏻

I’ve had to come into town to visit a bank as they’ve closed all the local branches.
As you can imagine reader, it’s mobbed in here and loads of people queued up to be seen/dealt with.
Closing branches is never about convenience for the customer 😤
