Train of thought: I had discovered that that most problematic app and maybe some app caches were living (resp. dying) on that USB stick.

Smart TV tip: Don't use a cheap USB stick as external Android storage.

My TV had all kinds of problems, 1st with the Paramount+ app, then TV app and finally HDMI inputs.
Moved that app to internal storage, removed stick, rebooted - problems gone!

The last 2 afternoons & evenings I went through some 1300 bookmarks synced via Chrome resp. Google, moved over 800 non-obsoletes back to html files maintained manually.
Also moved notes from Google keep to self-hosted Vaultwarden.

With all those DEI (decent, ethic, intelligent) programs dropped even by f*ing global companies, any organisation that wants to regain even a tad of respect should stop hiring "local" white men unless they're qualifed 100% better and work 50% cheaper.
