The game's expansive content warning also feels a little misleading, mostly because it never feels gratuitous or exploitative. For a game that's banned on both Epic and Steam, it's surprising that it never turns into the barbaric, atrocity-filled horror you might expect.

Even the nudity is pixelated to emphasise how dehumanising the horses' existence is, for all those claiming it's somehow sexual--as if that's a good enough reason to ban it in the first place.

After playing through Horses, the storefront bans look even more absurd than they already did. There are uncomfortable moments, sure, but it's also an outlandish and very funny game that's hardly subtle about its themes.
