I wanted to love rain world but the difficulty was so incongruent for what I wanted. If someone made "rain world but chill" I would play the heck out of it.

When we moved into this house 5 years ago, utensils just ended up in random drawers during unpacking.

My partner has decided it's time to put them where it makes sense but I keep putting them back in the old places.

i've been lurking the fft reddit because i really like seeing folks discussing the story. there are new players playing who feel a lot of discomfort at the ending, and desired for more justice or happier outcomes for the characters, and i like seeing folks debate the merits of that

This book is incredible. It's truly unique, but I think if you like fantasy worlds that feel real and like they've been around a long time, and mystery and characters who are heartbroken charming fuck ups you will love this.

Then have buildings' front doors face a low-velocity, car-unfriendly lane where people can walk and sit and whatever. A grid _completely offset_ from the road grid. Sidewalks become unnecessary. Mid-road crosswalks become norm. Celebration ensues!

I've always found it strange that buildings face the road, instead of the lane; surely cars should be relegated to the ignored side of buildings where the ventilation is, put the trash cans next to the roads that carry the garbage trucks, etc.

My Saturday morning: Slept in, read some webcomics, and now I'm updating my expired credit card everywhere and reviewing a year's worth of Strata Council notes that I've been ignoring.

Felix the Cat: The movie. I think. It's been quite a while but I recall being incredibly confused in a good way.

This one was my rec; it's remarkable for giving me fake nostalgia, transporting me back to my childhood even though I never saw it as a kid.

I recently looked into the history of Via Rail and it seemed like it basically boiled down to, "newly elected government (party agnostic) needs to cut spending, cuts from passenger rail service" over and over for 40 years.

My impression is railway here is just a punching bag. Doesn't answer why...

I think about this page from Hilda when I think about cozy games. Can't warm yourself under a blanket unless it's cold out; can't enjoy the light of a fire unless the room is dark.

I love a pastel, huggy wholesome game as much as the next person (really!) but cozy games need darkness too! #indieDev
