Never forget that the same people clutching clutching their pearls over whether or not black and female firefighters are “qualified” enough will applaud Dr. Oz being in charge of Medicare, a Fox News host as Secretary of Defense, and a convicted felon as President of the United States.

The cognitive dissonance in this country is best illustrated by the fact that most of the right leaning pages I follow are echoing the left leaning ones in poking fun at the murder of an insurance CEO, but they’ll argue vehemently that he should have been paying lower taxes when he was asassinated
