While most of America is dreading November coming, I’m anxiously awaiting for a different reason:

My baby is due to be born!

I think if they weren’t so expensive and I hadn’t had so many issues with the earlier version and I hadn’t been forced out of my previous Omnipods, I would have stayed with them.

They did have a lot of benefits!

When Omnipod changed over to the Omnipod5, I had so many problems with it. I ended up changing to the Tandem Mobi and, even though it has external tubing and it’s had its own challenges, my A1C has been phenomenal!

I’m currently pregnant, but I have a one year old as well. Unfortunately it seems like I can’t participate…

I dreaded Endo appointments since I was diagnosed because I always felt like I was failing physically and morally.

Finally found an Endo office that supports me and my first appointment I left with tears of joy and relief.

Here’s the thing: I know I can switch from coffee to tea and I do that from time to time. But sometimes I just want coffee and sometimes I just want tea. 🤷‍♀️
I find that tea tastes better when I haven’t had it in a while, same with coffee.

ER is the worst when treating T1 diabetics. When I had RSV and was puking everywhere, they ordered insulin for my high blood sugar and no one would approve it so I just used my own needles and insulin from home.

I was like “You aren’t treating me anyways so I’ll do it myself 🙄”

Honestly, better than expected! Just trying to get through October. 😮‍💨

So proud of everyone who went to No Kings today!

It talking to these moms who get gestational diabetes and they think they did something bad to deserve this and it’s like “What? Did your doctor tell you this? No! Your hormones got funky. Your body did something. It’s not your fault!!”

The difference between this pregnancy and my first two pregnancies and how I’m treated at my appointments is wild!

They say I’m doing a good job?? My blood sugar is good and under control??? I’m not harming my baby just by being diabetic??

I love it but I’m so confused!

I guess, for me, it takes away some of the guilt. Like, knowing that this is a thing that happens that I can’t control makes me feel like I don’t have to feel bad for it happening.

It’s just a thing. There’s no morality behind my being sick.
