If that EXIT is the one I'm thinking of I recommend doing it in good light.

17.07.2025 17:21 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dead right... so we had our own.... got these at George online
30.03.2025 21:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Already seeing progress. They wanted to turn it into a competition, I have agreed. Rewards for most correct and for coming up with cards I've not thought about that work well enough for me to want to add it to my collection.
07.03.2025 19:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just give them a card as they're walking through the door. Though there is a scope for them testing each other 5 mins a lesson and swapping cards haven't tried it yet but will do.
03.03.2025 13:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I must admit there is more scope in the Applied than the Pure.
03.03.2025 10:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One example is "What assumptions are needed for a Binomial Distribution to be valid?"
03.03.2025 10:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#ALevelMaths I have started doing revision flashcards with the students as they enter to highlight little marks that they often miss. I think it's working well.
28.02.2025 22:25 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 2 π 1Agreed but centre of mass is in AQA
03.02.2025 23:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#alevelmaths, C.O.M. for centre of mass or conservation of momentum? Both? Neither? I never use C.O.E. for conservation of energy....anyone else?
03.02.2025 21:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think no specs can apply the large data set properly. I love the idea of a large data set, I love the idea of applying statistics to it but including it as part of the A Level Maths as examined content is a struggle.... it ought to be a separate qualification in my opinion.
21.01.2025 22:26 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hahahahahahahahahaha
18.01.2025 23:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What spec are you?
17.12.2024 13:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Solve on calc these days (unless question specifically states otherwise)
17.12.2024 13:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The good news is I now know how to electronically name the calculator.
12.12.2024 20:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Anyone ever accidentally acquired a students graphical calculator for a sustained period of time? #mathstoday π
12.12.2024 18:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I loved teaching this but have only managed to teach it once I am quite jealous
06.12.2024 18:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It*
29.11.2024 21:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ot was definitely down last night
29.11.2024 21:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I enjoyed this too much. I'd add a film of a student writing a^2 + b^2 =c^2 and the next line a + b = c and being hit by train also.... or equally a trout
26.11.2024 18:56 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Glad it's not just me
24.11.2024 22:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm already regretting that 6 would be perfect
24.11.2024 22:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm going 9
24.11.2024 22:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do like the exponential.... I gave chi-squared as my answer but have regretted it ever since
23.11.2024 18:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would argue everything is 42
23.11.2024 00:19 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In #mathstoday had a lovely question asked of me, if you were a distribution which would you be? Further Mathematicians and I agreed we wouldn't be normal (even if we love it) ... so how about it what would you be? #alevelmaths
22.11.2024 22:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The sum is the result when we add. The difference is the result when subtract. The product is the result when we multiply. The quotient isn't always the result when we divide e.g. 9Γ·2=4.5 The quotient is 4.
17.11.2024 23:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quotient
17.11.2024 23:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Had some fun proving a bit of stats today #alevelmaths
15.11.2024 14:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm only half an hour away from you, I didn't even pick up even Anglesey til I read your msgπ
13.11.2024 20:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0OH I see!
