Absolutely gutted at the news of the pillows officially disbanding, but sadly all good things must come to an end. Even the pillows. Thanks for being the first band I ever truly loved and continued to love and will continue to love for the rest of my life.

I’ve been reading conversations with Mark Frost about their time writing Twin Peaks together. We truly lost one of the greats today.

Hearing this soundtrack live really drives home just how phenomenal a job they did with the OST. Queen’s Blood had the crowd going wild (myself included). Additional highlight of the evening was watching Sephiroth pay 10 honest to god dollars for two bottles of water.

You made it to Please Mr. Lostman! Definitely gonna have to check out these other albums if they’re being grouped with PML. Really been enjoying these posts too, hope you stick with them

A lot of people who learned about the project while it was in development got kinda lost during the Great Tumblr Collapse of ‘18 and the Great Twitter Collapse of ‘22

Yeah, I think anything more than what we got in the original release will feel like an improvement. I followed XV from the moment it was announced (vsXIII) and so much of my hype was literally just getting to play the one segment of the story they completely cut out lmao

Yeah, I honestly think getting to explore Insomnia is the biggest draw for me. I was so disappointed when the vanilla edition of the game cut out most of that section considering it was such a big part of the promotion and the “modern fantasy” vibe.

I think it’s definitely worth a few playthroughs but I don’t know if the new story additions really did much for me, at least not enough to stick with it and get every ending. Rin was a neat idea, but ultimately felt pretty tacked on (much like Sumire in P5 Royal)

I honestly liked FB, but I think the OG’s soundtrack is the superior version (thankfully you can switch between both). The remix mode added a nice refresher for people who knew the original puzzles well, and it fixed some glitches that made completing the original game near impossible, so overall

I haven’t played XV since it originally launched in 2016 but I remember feeling the same way about the characters, they do a great job making the party feel cohesive. I’ve heard Royal Edition really improves on a lot of the story beats and such, so I’m curious to check that out at some point.

You have solid taste in games, definitely followed. Curious what your thoughts on FFXV are so far?

It’s also no secret that the Velvet Room from the Persona series was directly influenced by the works of David Lynch, combining the mysterious, otherworldly aspects of the Black Lodge (red room) from Twin Peaks with a nod to Lynch’s acclaimed film Blue Velvet.
