Every time you see someone powerful acting like a craven coward in the face of this authoritarian menace, let it stiffen your own spine. We are all we've got.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

Can’t emphasize this enough: if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the debased assault on our country, the antidote is connecting with other people in the flesh who are feeling the same way. There are millions of us.

Folks, please do not let your anger with the current administration lead you to be sexist, racist, ableist, etc in my comments, or to wish real-world harm to its individual members. The latter will get you monitored by the FBI; the former is just bullshit. I'll likely hide your comments either way.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. β€œWhat can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to β€œthe left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Kelly: When I was flying in combat over Iraq during the first Gulf War, I didn’t expect that there was a 10-year-old kid sitting in South Africa who would one day become the richest guy in the world and call me a traitor for doing my job. Now, he kind of acts like a 12-year-old kid

RFK Jr.: It Would Be Better if β€˜Everybody Got Measles’ β€œThe measles gave you lifetime protection against measles infection,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Sean Hannity on Fox News.

Sure, but measles can be dangerous or even deadly.

If only you could get a safer version of the virus that doesn’t make you sick, but creates the antibodies you need.

We should invent something like that.

Corporate news isn't inherently bad. While it's good to know who owns your news, factors like editorial independence, transparency, and factual accuracy are more pressing when determining the reliability of a news source. The key issue here is that WaPo's editorial independence has been sacrificed.

Trump is dismantling the Education Department. Here's what it does President Donald Trump has said he wants his new education chief, Linda McMahon, to β€œput herself out of a job” and close the Education Department.

The whole β€œtrade war” debacle is a red herring. We must not overlook the totalitarian patterns of behavior that the corporate media is less concerned about.

I hope so, too. It might help to think about the odds that were faced back then, and how insurmountable they must have seemed before organized resistance really took hold.

Ah yes, the notoriously violent Civil Rights Movement which ended a century of de jure segregation. The Indian Independence Movement was also exceptionally violent.

Get out there and make your voice heard, and most importantly, vote.

I fail to see why people in the comments are hostile to this. Anything that helps win support for Ukraine in Washington without compromising their fight is a good thing.

Drawing huge crowds, Bernie Sanders emerges as the leader of the anti-Trump resistance At 83 years old, Sanders is not running for president again. But the stooped and silver-haired democratic socialist has emerged as a leader of the resistance to Donald Trump's second presidency.

β€œThis is like presidential campaign rallies, isn’t it? But I’m not running for president, and this is not a campaign,” Sen. Bernie Sanders told The Associated Press. β€œYou gotta do what you gotta do. The country’s in trouble and I want to play my role.”
