In 1956, a calico cat named Takeshi traveled to Antarctica with the first Japanese Antarctic observation team aboard the research ship Sōya.
As the expedition’s mascot, the crew believed Takeshi would help bring them home safely.

A small 3-week old black kitten held up for a photo. It is in pretty good shape, just a little dirty from crawling around under the trailer.
And on and on and on it goes.
Got a message from another rescue that someone had a “4-week old” kitten under their trailer skirting, & it was crying all night. They weren’t able to catch it on their own (though they did try their best!) & were worried it was orphaned. Lil’ guy came right to me.
