It looks like MISO's routine price separation is supporting Ukraine today.

Same congestion pattern, different day in MISO South
18.08.2025 18:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can someone make me a map of all the NREL geospatial wind and solar data and all of the existing and planned HVDC lines across the U.S. superimposed?

They still donβt really know what happened yet! A fire near a line *maybe for a portion near the Languedoc region. Cyberattack? Nobody knows. Wild

Iβll add, contrary to my experience with Entergy NOLA. The power hasnβt flickered even a bit for 9 million people
There's only so much room for the working groups, acronyms, initiatives and scenarios of yesteryear in RTO land
26.03.2025 21:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0π! This is it! The one thing I'm puzzled about with ITP also, is that they do 10 years out, but the count benefits for 40 years?
What is that? Do they just freeze the resource buildout at ten years out and assume it for the 40 year period?
#energysky Where does one find SPP's ITP Futures forecasted buildout? Like what MISO provides in their Futures Series 1a report?
26.03.2025 20:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Today, March 18, states like Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and other nearby states are getting 60% of their power from wind energy. #energysky
18.03.2025 11:42 β π 28 π 9 π¬ 2 π 0The gap between the second and third meetings was 12 days (not counting Thanksgiving). Feedback requested, not reviewed by MISO's admission. What was reviewed was cherrypicked...
From December 6th ERAS Workshop Presentation
I find this stakeholder process for MISO's ERAS proposal utterly absurd. The gap between the first and second meeting discussing their proposal was 2 whole weekdays. Feedback requested, not reviewed

ERCOT storage showing the typical cold winter pattern of high discharge in morning and eveningβ¦ it ainβt a duck, so can we call this the jackalope? (Annotation mine) #energysky #txenergy

22.01.2025 15:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0SPP wind looks like it's getting curtailed. Whether that's because they're trying to balance the system and are running into challenges, or because of congestion / constraints, it's hard to tell, but it looks like the latter considering the LMP map
22.01.2025 00:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Imports in-to MISO have largely come from PJM's footprint for most of the day, reaching almost 5k in imports at one point. Less from other neighbors including SPP.

Monitoring Winter Storm Enzo, both MISO and SPP are forecasting a decent amount of wind in the latter half of the 21st which coincides with some of the lowest temps.
This should be good for balancing out high wholesale costs, and SPP imports could be big given the temp difference
I filled out all my availability polls, now what do I win?!
