My state has had a legislative GOP supermajority for 22 years. Missouri is ranked:

50th in classroom funding
49th in starting teacher pay
7th highest in gun deaths
6th highest in maternal mortality

Republicans can’t govern and you can look at every red state to come to that conclusion.

“We don’t want to take away from one kid to give to another.” - Rep. Dean Arp (R), as he recommends voting down an amendment to the budget which would transfer funds from the private school voucher fund to give to kids in rural counties to travel on field trips to Raleigh.

Rural kids should be able to learn, earn, and live right here…in our rural communities.

That means good public schools and roads with shoulders and fast internet and healthcare access. Not one or the other.

I’ve been fighting for rural communities for years. Trump Republicans won’t stop me.

The Rules Committee meets at 1 AM on Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning to ram through this disastrous bill. Why? Because they don't want you to see them ripping healthcare from millions of Americans.

You do not hold a hearing for a bill at 1 AM unless you're completely ashamed of it.
