Great work, I like it a lot!

Panel of two world maps colored according to the frequency of chess Grand Masters from each country. The darker the color, the more chess Grand Masters come from the respective countries. Upper Panel A is for male players, lower panel B for females, accordingly.

First try at a #TidyTuesday dataset. This one was on the most recent FIDE International Chess Federation's rankings. I decided to create a map exploring which countries give rise to the most Grand Masters. I enjoyed it a lot!

Today I had the pleasure of presenting our R and Quarto-based reproducible analysis pipeline for a large multicenter RCT at #useR2025. The Clinical Trials session was a wonderful platform for exchange and inspiration. Thanks to all attendees and organizers who made this great conference happen!

Today marked a great start to this year’s #user2025 conference at Duke university. I especially enjoyed @hadley.nz‘s insightful and humorous keynote. Now I’m very much looking forward to my own talk on Saturday. See you there!

I thought so. But can we agree that that a less then optimal way to use hashtags? I subscribed to a feed that filters for POCUS content and I would prefer it to show me POCUS content exclusively. I feel like it’s a little selfish of you to force your content on me. Maybe try to reconsider. Thanks.

What does the trial have to do with POCUS?

Machine learning is only truly effective and efficient for a small number of tasks when done right.

Large Language Models in particularly are only good for a small subset of Machine Learning tasks.   None of these tasks are best done with a single monolithic "AI" machine.

It’s #POCUS time again. Elderly patient w/ proximal femur fracture accompanied by most severe pain. Due for emergency surgery, but couldn’t even be moved to the table properly. Quick fascia iliaca plane block before any other actions were taken solved it.
