Sorry to hear that you're facing this.

Lula is much more hemmed in by a very conservative Congress than in his earlier terms, but some of the decisions - like doubling down on oil and gas - are fully his. And then there are lots of "distractions", like the trial of the ex-president and Trump's 50% tariff, etc etc. COP is not top of mind

- Rolling back environmental impact assessment
- Doubling down on oil and gas production

The updated concept of the Tropical Forest Forever Facility is out. It brings greater clarity+demonstrates progress, after inputs received from governments, Indigenous Peoples + local communities, and CSOs. I'm glad to be helping with the #TFFF design on behalf of the @wcs.org.

Well it was announced a year ago and then put off for a year so it predates Trump’s win

Brazil’s Congress has been trying to pass a law like this since the early 2000s and may get it through this time. Then a presidential veto, right? Right?

Yesterday, Brazil took a dangerous step toward environmental deregulation. The Senate approved a bill that guts licensing rules—letting many projects skip environmental review entirely. Now it heads to the lower house, where it's likely to pass.
