Zimbabwe is such a feel-good story. Back from the brink of oblivion, they played international cricket in 11 of the last 14 months, played 8 of the other 11 FMs, and showed way more talent than they got credit for. Now that talent has locked them into 2028.

Without Tandrevold the Norwegian team somehow feels both hollow but also much stronger. After Tiril, it seemed Ingrid was the team for a while, despite everything. But this group might just surprise, much as their cross country counterparts did. Wouldn't that be fun? But those French women, wow!

Much like the Australian cricket team I’ve been mostly indifferent to this T20 World Cup, only half-heartedly paying attention, leaving it to others to participate in properly.

And somehow the selfish and the greedy and the narcissists tore it all down. It is still shocking how easily that happened. I don't know how anyone on the NHS frontlines can look any of us in the eyes.

It was shattering (not helped in my case by significant post-concussion trauma that leaves me with near crippling headaches after not too much screen time), but more depressing is how we have forgotten how so many of us managed to come together to try to protect the vulnerable and most at risk.

Skiing on our local trails. Skater guy stops to tell woman obviously new to skiing that she needs to stay in the classic tracks so as 'not to get in the way of skiers'. A./ No, she can ski where it's easiest for her (race days excepted) and B./ What dick!
