I love the history and practice of the place; it's beautiful, enriching and celebrates the rich legacy of democracy.

But when form subverts substance - we all lose out.
When novice MPs are shut down and experts are scolded unfairly then democracy takes a hit.

Can't tell you how excited I was to see a subject area expert @torstenbell.bsky.social speaking in HoP today on a vital area of importance.

The way that was dealt with was shocking, and so so so frustrating.

Please can we reinstitute productive debate, expertise and intelligence to Parliament.
