The FBI just arrested a judge in Wisconsin.

First they ignored a judge’s orders, then they publicly challenged the power of the judicial branch as a whole, and now they are arresting judges.

This is authoritarianism.
This is fascism.

There have been many aspiring fascists in history. The ones who were successful in implementing fascism were able to do so because those with the power to stop it either joined, appeased, downplayed, or turned a blind eye.

Fascism only takes root when people let it. So don’t fucking let it.

Dems, at the very least, should shut down the gov. until he is brought back, and then shut it down again and again for all of the people being rounded up in violation of the constitution.

If they can’t do that, if they can’t stand up to authoritarianism in this moment, they are entirely useless.

The Trump admin sent an innocent man to a torture camp and are refusing to bring him back even though they admit he was sent there by mistake and the Supreme Court ordered he must be returned.

This admin is cutting SNAP, Medicaid, med research, and many public health progs under the guise of cutting waste and fraud. And yet they just announced they have
"essentially approved" a military budget of a trillion dollars. $1,000,000,000,000 for the Pentagon, which has failed its last 7 audits.

During his appearance with Netanyahu, Trump said it would be a good thing to have, “a peace force like the United States” in Gaza.

Well, this “peace force” has partnered with the “most moral military in the world” to commit one of the worst genocides in modern times.

Words mean nothing.

If someone wanted to filibuster weapons shipments to Israel, they could just read the names of the children killed in Gaza and break Booker’s record by many, many hours.

It’s depressing and infuriating to live in a country that can only muster up 15 Senate votes to stop actively arming a state committing genocide. It’s the bare minimum, and yet still a bridge too far for our sacred, imperial empire. Disgraceful.

25 million people do not have health insurance in the U.S. and tens of millions more are underinsured and forced to ration care and medicine. 20 million people have medical debt.

And yet, the people behind the Make America Healthy Again movement are going to make all of these things much worse.

If you knew that a journalist was still in possession of the war plans you accidentally sent him, why would you say that you never shared war plans, knowing he could just publish the rest of the messages and prove you’re lying? These people are not just incompetent, they’re dumb as rocks.

It’s so crazy that the richest man in the world took control of our government and gutted medical research, domestic and foreign aid, the VA, the Nat. Park Service, and 10,000 other programs that help people, and we’re all just going on with our lives instead of shutting this entire economy down.

If you’re a journalist and you haven’t reported on the record number of journalists intentionally targeted and killed in Gaza, you should be forced to forfeit your position and give it to someone who cares about the profession, and the people who put their lives on the line to do it.

The vast majority of politicians and powerful institutions in America have made it abundantly clear, time and time again, that a group of zionists being uncomfortable is more of a concern than tens of thousands of Palestinians being killed.

Think local.

Trump cannot eliminate the Department of Education. But since he thinks he just did, I think that all student loans were just eliminated as well—permanently.

Since Israel broke the ceasefire and began bombing Gaza again, at least 436 people were killed, 183 of them children. To add another level of cruelty, many of these attacks occurred in N Gaza, where people had returned only a few weeks earlier to a toxic wasteland filled with mountains of rubble.

413 people were killed in Gaza yesterday. With yet another chance to choose diplomacy and humanity, with yet another chance to get the remaining hostages in Gaza released, the Israeli government has again showed their priority to be obliteration. What more do you need to see to realize what this is?

When asked about Gaza during his NY Times interview this week, Chuck Schumer said,

“it is vicious of the opponents to call this genocide.“

So, according to Schumer: Reporting honestly on a genocide is, "vicious."

But committing a genocide is not.

Columbia University still has not divested from weapons manufacturers or Israeli companies, and last April they broke their own rules and called the police on student protesters resulting in over 200 arrests. And now, this.

Their full capitulation and participation in fascism is disgraceful.

Starve people, cut off electricity and aid, bomb ambulances, hospitals, and refugee camps, kill record numbers of children, and aid workers, and journalists, and you get billions in aid and weapons.

Speak out about those atrocities, and get kicked out of the country.

The vast majority of U.S. politicians have a bigger problem with a former college student opposing crimes against humanity, than actual crimes against humanity.

When the state abducts a legal resident with a green card who is married to an American citizen to remove him from the country without any charges being filed, or trial occurring, that is fascism.

It’s not a distant threat. It’s here.

And while it might not have touched you yet, it will.
