The listening has been BADDD TODAY THOUGH and I swear to God if this child doesn't nap today I'm gonna lose it (internally). They're the kind that acts possessed when underslept and I'm still getting over a cold so fatigue is still real

This morning I accidentally told a child "If you keep disobeying..." and I wanted to die inside because like. yes do I want them to listen? Of course, especially when their behavior is unsafe or disruptive (theirs was the latter) but the phrasing of obedience is way too authoritarian for me

Don't get me wrong, I love my job as an ECE but I am also very much fighting off grudges against specific 3-4 year olds today.

It's low-key looking like a tonsillectomy might be my 2025 new year's resolution. I can't keep going on antibiotic courses every few months

My right tonsil is inflamed again... So far no swollen lymph nodes or fever but holy shit!!! This is the same side that had strep twice this summer and I sWEAR TO GOD IF ITS STREP AGAIN

I got new short tip interchangable knitting needles and they're sO PRETTY, and ALSO!!! They match my Tunisian crochet hooks!!!!

Okay but no one warned me how much I would treasure my crochet/ knitting stuff collection,,, I'm like a little dragon who fawns over their tools more than they actually use them lol
