Me. My players are going into a fire giant forge. And I am having 2 guest characters playing Bredbeddle twins who are looking for their heads that were lost in a fire giant forge.

My table has been using Forge Steel for 4 months now with great success. I can concur that it is an excellent tool and important for the hobby.

For any budding TTRPG writer (aka me) this video is immensely helpful and inspiring.

I have suffered with this for many years. I am open to my colleagues and managers and they have always been supportive.
I did always work a few extra hours to make up though.

I am not an India scholar either, but I was born there and spent the first 22 years of my life there. 😄

Yeah I need to define the scope and see if I can find enough collaborators to have a real big crowdfunder because this will need multiple designers.

I need serious collaborators if I want to make it a product.

I am slooooowly working on an India inspired setting for Draw Steel. A big challenge is I might need to come up with my own subclasses to actually make it work. A lot of the western European fantasy archetypes just don't fit in that setting.

Yeah but that's not the only way. I am going to run the game at a Zurich convention this year.
So there are many ways to get more players in. And I don't know of any other game that has such a loyal fanbase who LOVE the company that made the game.

Indeed it is. It is so much more fun to run a game when the rules are serving me instead of fighting me.

How does that work for art commissions? What kind of instructions do you get from the art director?

This is my new favourite cover. It is sooooooo evocative and tells us exactly what we will be doing in the adventure.

I think one thing that helps a lot is that a huge percentage of the MCDM community are GMs. So any of them that pick up the game might bring in 3-5 people, who have never heard of Draw Steel, into the fold.

Hasn't Matt said multiple times that things like breaking down rules and teaching people how to play should ideally come from the community, and not MCDM themselves?
Also, just the sheer amount of community content can become promo for Draw Steel in the long run.

According to the MSRPs printed on my AD&D 2e books - PHB-$20, DMG-$18, MM-$30. That's $68 in 1990 money. Inflation puts that at $170ish in 2025.
We now have full-color books. Most RPGs come with PDFs. And all for the same price or less.
